While a home inspection is not required, I highly recommend that you always have an inspection done by a licensed New Mexico home inspector. The objective of a home inspection is to help you, the buyer, better understand the piece of New Mexico real estate you're purchasing. When completed, you will have a much greater understanding of the physical, mechanical, plumbing and electrical condition of the property. The inspection will reveal any major or minor problems that may exist with the house. It is in your best interest to have this done so you know what you are getting into. While an inspection is not a guarantee, it certainly diminishes unwanted surprises later. Once the home inspection is complete, you will be able to decide whether or not to follow through with the purchase of the New Mexico home.
Top Nine Reasons Why Buyers Should Have An Inspection
- To have a realistic understanding of the condition of the property.
- To minimize unnecessary risk.
- To have confidence in what you're buying.
- To learn how to operate the systems of the home.
- To have an objective opinion of the home's condition.
- To limit surprises.
- To be able to plan for repairs later on.
- To save money on unanticipated repairs.
- To have the ability to cancel the contract if problems exist.
